The rediscovery of India.

I'm new to blogging. Always wanted to blog but never quite got around to doing it.

I'm an Indian and proud of my nation. Principally, this blog is to voice my own rediscovery of India. I say rediscovery, because the idea of India has been lost to a whole generation of youngsters because of the perverted and malicious policies followed be successive governments. The people are also to blame for seeing anything and everything Indian as second rate. We've achieved independence only in paper. True independence shall be proclaimed only when the mind is free. We still live in the mental prisons the Englishman designed for us.

This blog is not aimed at any audience. It is solely to help me find my own meaning of India through the help of its glorious past, because no country can claim to truly represent its people by murdering the cultural and historical legacy of its past. Having said that, comments are always welcome. I firmly believe in the ancient Indian tradition of "Shaastrarthas"- the spirit of debate, discussions and arguments. This no longer exists in public discourse today. But it is one of the tallest legacies from our past that we must cherish and adopt once again.

I shall post regularly on varied matters, all Indian, but scrutinise issues through the prism of our past and see how things today relate to it.

More to come.
